Red Lodge is a charming alpine town surrounded by 28 peaks rising over 12,000 feet. Nestled in the foothills of the magnificent Beartooth Mountains and within the  Custer National Forest, this alpine town reflects it's colorful coal-mining past. Historic downtown Red Lodge featuring businesses built from the 1880’s to 1915.  Red Lodge is located in Carbon County.

Leaving Red Lodge to the south is a gateway to the Lamar Valley of Yellowstone National Park. This 69-mile Beartooth Scenic Drive has dramatic switchbacks overlooking snow-capped peaks, glaciers, alpine lakes and plateaus. CBS news correspondent Charles Kuralt called the Beartooth Pass the most scenic drive in America.

Recreational opportunities, both summer and winter through the         Red Lodge Mountain Ski and Golf Resort and the Beartooth Recreation Trails Association.

Beartooth Nature Center where you can  view and pet native wild and domestic animals. Wild animals at the Center can not be returned to the wild.

The Carbon County Museum invites all those who are interested in the spirit of Montana’s pioneer heritage to view its exhibits.

Red Lodge festivities that bring visitors in from all over the world include the Winter Carnival at the end of February, National Ski-Joring Finals in March; the Red Lodge Music Festival and the Annual Beartooth Run in June; the Home of Champions Parade and Rodeo, the Beartooth Rally, the Montana State Old-Time Fiddlers Contest, the Fat Tire Frenzy and the Red Lodge Mountain Man Rendezvous  in July; the Festival of Nations in August plus many more concerts and activities.
